Carnegie/Twain Plaque

This is the plaque erected in honour of the opening of Kensal Rise Library. The library was opened with the backing of Andrew Carnegie, a few years after New York’s Carnegie Hall had been built, with Mark Twain officiating at the library’s opening ceremony.
