Update from the appeal – judgement expected on Monday 19th December

Royal Courts of JusticeWe will receive the Court of Appeal’s judgement on Monday afternoon 19 December. It is to be handed down at 2pm in Court 72 in the Royal Courts of Justice.

I will ensure that regular updates are sent out so that everyone is kept in the picture.

You can choose to hear the news either at the library or the Royal Courts of Justice.

Whether the Appeal succeeds or fails the campaign to save our library is not over, we have some way to go to safeguard its future.

6 Libraries could become 4 with the closure of Willesden in mid 2012 for 2 years for “transformation” and Kingsbury lease expiring in 2013. That is not fair to residents when money is squandered elsewhere. The library service has no experienced staff as most are forced out.  How is this deal fair to our children and the vunerable who will be isolated due to closure of these valuable services.
    Lets hope justice prevails tomorrow.
