Hundreds of residents packed a hall last night to support the campaign to save Kensal Rise Library, as top comedians lined up to join the fight. Phil Jupitus described the campaign as “inspiring”, and was joined by Alexei Sayle, Robin Ince, Robyn Hitchcock and Helen Arney.

I was there that evening and I thought it was not only very funny but also instilled a sense of community and unity for a common cause. I work at QPCS and was impressed with the acts and their commitment. I am an avid library user and have seen first hand what difference using a library and reading makes to children.
