Former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen supports campaign to save Kensal Rise Library

Michael RosenBroadcaster, children’s novelist and poet Michael Rosen backs the campaign to save Kensal Rise Library. Speaking out, he said:

“We have to fight to save our libraries, they are the treasure-houses of our wisdom. And they’re free!!!”

Rosen, who was Children’s Laureate until 2009, succeeding Jacqueline Wilson, hopes to support an event for the campaign.

    I seem to remember that Michael Rosen used to live in Kensal Rise as a child and attended Pricess Frederica Primary School, so he probably used the library!
