Accusing Brent Council of hypocrisy, the article goes on to say:

Campaigners accused [the council] of ignoring residents’ opinions and branded the three-month consultation “flawed”.

I can’t help but think these Labour councillors are closing the libraries instead of cutting elsewhere for no other reason than to make the current Government look bad … vote them out at the next local elections.
